General contract for completion of hydraulic units №2 and №3. Preparation of the construction site.
Major construction facilities:
HSPS building, upper reservoir, water intake, tunnel drainage systems, transformer site, water outlets, lower hydraulic power system, high-voltage connections HEP-SWYD, service facilities, energy supply, transport and communications facilities, external networks, water and sanitation facilities, landscaping and planting, a residential building.

Work package on reconstruction of air circuit breakers SWYD 330 kV, V-30, V-32, I-62, installation and commissioning of gas insulated switches SWYD -330 kV V-30, V-32, V-62.
November 2008 - December 2010
Supply of the control and protection system for HSPS along with a set of spare parts and execution of design documentation, adjustment works, engineering supervision, and staff training at the Dniester HSPS.
October 2008 - September 2010
Preparation of facilities to installation of equipment. Selection of equipment parameters and supplies, design and research work, installation work, test run of the hydraulic unit’s prototype and all starting equipment of the Dniester HSPS.
Construction of the Dniester HSPS is the largest project of the Ukrgidroenergobud R&D Consortium, which started work at the facility in 2008.
The first stage of the Dniester HSPS comprises three hydraulic units having the total capacity of 972 MW in the generating mode and 1263 MW in the pumping mode.
The design capacity of 7 hydropower units of Dniester HSPS is 2,268 MW in the generating mode and 2947 MW in the pumping mode. Upon reaching the full capacity, the Dniester HSPS will become the largest pumped-storage plant in Europe and the sixth hydropower project in the world.
